EU residence cards to be introduced in May

ID kort All EU countries must introduce residence permit cards no later than 20th of May this year. The cards will replace the current permit stickers for a residence permit and maintain the same security standard as passport documents.
The aim of the residence permit cards, or UT card, is to be more secure than the current permit stickers. The cards will therefore have a chip with the holder’s biometrics in the form of a photograph and prints from two fingers.

The UT cards will have the same format as normal bank cards. They will be issued for all forms of residence permit. Every card will have the label ‘RESIDENCE PERMIT´ in the language of the issuing country. The cards will be valid for a maximum of five years.

Schools in Stockholm

As you know from previous years the international schools are terribly full and so far no really good alternative has been available. Hence, please, please, please send in your application forms as soon as you even consider moving families to Stockholm so that you don’t run the risk of splitting up families or having to settle for less than perfect solutions.

SkyView

For the best view of Stockholm take a ride with Stockholm Skyview. The ride takes about 20 minutes and goes 130 meters above sea level. 2 gondolas made of glass takes you along the outside of the Ericsson Globe. The view from the top is spectacular! It is possible to pre-book and if you are a group of people this can be recommended. At the Skyview café you can enjoy a typical swedish menu for lunch after or before the tour. For opening hours and more info www.globearenas.se

Don’t hesitate to contact us with any queries about relocation, immigration or Sweden.

Sincerely,
