SMOOTH ARRIVAL – EASY LIVING – SWIFT DEPARTURE
Dear Friends,

Almost all the expat families are now settled after a very busy summer season! While housing has been good this year, immigration processes have become even longer.

We are experiencing exceptional growth while working diligently on maintaining and improving processes. Our committment to quality is never faltering and the re-qualification for the EQS in January is our next target.

We have lots of plans for the fall and hope to see many of you at ERC in Denver.

Plans are in the works for the EURA Conference in 2012 and we are thrilled to welcome you to this lovely city that we are so proud of.

With best regards,
Lena Rekdal

Twice as many applications this year

We have never had such a large amount of applications pending at one time as we do this year. As you may know Sweden practically closes down in July and we do what we can to accomodate our peak season transferees that need to be up and running in August. The migration board case officers are a fantastic crew but can’t work miracles. Together we are trying to get things moving along, in spite of the challenges faced. Companies that haven’t signed a membership with a local union have not been able to lean on the service agreement where the union will qualify the employment terms. That means only companies that are union members have been able to file complete applications during July/August.

To facilitate both for the migrationboard and our clients we will ask for translated documents unless they are in Swedish or English in order to cut down delays.

Some not to miss events in Sweden

LodjurA lot has happened in 25 years, Mapplethorpe isn’t as controversial anymore. Nonetheless, he’s a fantastic photographer and you can see him here in Stockholm until October 2nd.

Also, check out Power of Fashion- 300 years of clothing at Nordiska Museet, http://www.nordiskamuseet.se . The power of fashion is strong. Meet people from three decades, the 1780s, 1860s and 1960s, times when the economy, currents of ideas and technical developments clearly affected clothing and fashion.

Kolmården Zoo is a great place to go for a weekend, stay at Vildmarkshotellet and enjoy. They have 7 new lion cubs this year! For more info visit: http://www.kolmarden.com/.
