Summer 2010

SMOOTH ARRIVAL – EASY LIVING – SWIFT DEPARTURE
Dear Friends,

Celebrating 15 years serving clients from around the world needed something special – a trip. During our Christmas lunch in December we put suggestions for destinations in a hat and the waiter drew a slip of paper – Venice!

Our mission is to be the best relocation company in Sweden, not the biggest, but the best. Hotel Cipriani, on the island of Giudecca in Venice, share our ambition to excel and we combined pleasure with inspiration staying there for four days over Ascension day weekend. We have enjoyed it while carefully studying what makes them the best hotel in the world – we hope you will notice some changes in our processes that we picked up along the way.

Summer is knocking on the door, cheering up some of our clients that came this year and thought winter would never come to an end.

With best regards,
Lena Rekdal

Palma cxl and ERC here we come!
Conference
Due to the volcanic ashes we were unable to go to the EuRA Palma conference along with 700 other delegates. Like many others we have decided to go to ERC in Frankfurt instead and would be happy to meet you there. Please email lena@newcomers.se for an appointment.

Work permits
Immigration Board Just like every other year, summertime slows down the application approvals at the Immigration Bureau. While most Swedes plan to take out some vacation in the summer all the students apply for their student visas at the same time. That means the Immigration Office is short-staffed while they have the heaviest workload of the year. If you are planning on getting new employees up and running for August/September start dates this is a gentle reminder to get the process started. Our long experience can facilitate this piece of the relocation.

Furniture rental anyone?
Furniture Rental
After getting the question so many times over the years and never having
a good answer we said “where there is a problem, there’s a solution”!
Said and done we bought quite a bit of furniture to rent out for both
long and short-term. Let us know if your employees are waiting for their
household goods to arrive and need an interim solution – we are happy to
help!

Best wishes for a delightful summer from the Newcomer’s Team!

Sincerely,

The Newcomer’s Relocation Team
